After recognizing the irregular character of the premises—a former bank branch—a material, programmatic, and formal reconfiguration of its interior is proposed to transform the spatial experience of the space.
The intervention begins with the demolition of all internal partitions and the removal of the suspended ceiling, revealing a larger, continuous volume. This operation generates an open-plan environment that allows the project’s main architectural elements to emerge while redefining the perception and limits of the existing interior.
At the center of the proposal is the introduction of two linear rows of benches totaling 12 meters in length. This intervention organizes the interior and becomes the framework upon which the program develops.
The system creates new seating areas on both sides, establishing two distinct zones: one with smaller tables intended for circulation and shorter stays, and another designed for longer periods of use and more relaxed occupation.
